{"id":405,"date":"2016-11-30T16:57:13","date_gmt":"2016-11-30T16:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eastcentral.edu\/board-policies\/?page_id=405"},"modified":"2025-01-13T21:39:05","modified_gmt":"2025-01-13T21:39:05","slug":"weapons","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.eastcentral.edu\/board-policies\/finance-and-administration\/weapons\/","title":{"rendered":"4.45 Weapons"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>(Adopted 5-8-2006)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>91ԭƬ prohibits all persons who enter any College property from carrying on their person a handgun, firearm, or other weapon prohibited by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.45.1<\/strong>&nbsp; No person shall carry a concealed firearm onto the main campus or off-site locations at any time regardless of whether the person is licensed to carry the weapon or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.45.2<\/strong>&nbsp; This prohibition shall apply to students, employees, and members of the public.&nbsp; The prohibition shall not apply to law enforcement officers, sheriffs, and deputy sheriffs who are authorized by law to carry firearms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.45.3<\/strong>&nbsp; Any person who has a conceal and carry permit or endorsement who is carrying a concealed firearm will be denied entry and ordered to leave the premises.&nbsp; All College employees are authorized to deny entry and order persons carrying concealed firearms to leave the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.45.4<\/strong>&nbsp; College employees and students who violate the provisions of this Policy shall be subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.45.5<\/strong>&nbsp; The College shall post appropriate notice that concealed firearms are prohibited at all College locations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Adopted 5-8-2006) 91ԭƬ prohibits all persons who enter any College property from carrying on their person a handgun, firearm, or other weapon prohibited by law.
